Mama was there, of course, as the head of the family. 11 out of 15 of the Johari siblings were around together with their own families i.e. spouses, children, in laws and grand children. In total, there were around 80 family members who turned up for the Day.
The day started at 8.30 am with prayer followed by the cutting of birthday cakes, aerobics led by a qualified instructor and sukaneka for the children, games for teenagers and the parents. Practically, there was every thing for every one. Thanks to the thoughtfullness of the Organizing Committee. The families had an enjoyable day, children had lots of fun, teenagers had lovely time and most importantly, family ties were enhanced.
Food and drink was on pot-luck basis. Every family was only too eager to show of their skill in food preparation and cooking. There were ample food for everyone. Diet was forgotten as people could not resist the temptation of such delicious servings.
The programme ended at 4 pm with prize presentation and exchange of gifts amongst family members. Everyone had a good time.
